Victoria Lee Zoë Strauss
Welcome home, sweet girl!
November 18, 1998
Born May 7, 1997, Victoria Lee Zoë Strauss was adopted from Romania. She was immediately adored by her family, including her big brother. She was the missing puzzle piece and completing member of the Strauss Family.
Victoria had a special bond with her big brother, Jerry, because they were both adopted from the same orphanage a couple years apart. They grew up looking out for and encouraging each other.
Victoria was vibrant, energetic, beautiful, and caring. She loved making her friends laugh and always made sure everyone was having a good time when hanging out.
She worked hard and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida Atlantic University. At the time of her accident, she was working toward a master’s degree in social work from Ohio State University.
Victoria was incredibly passionate about dance. She worked very hard at her craft and dedicated years to dancing, fitness and nutrition. She believed she would be dancing her whole life.
Her life was completely flipped upside down when she suddenly lost her dad to cancer during college. She was, without a doubt, a daddy’s girl and struggled hard with the hand life had dealt her. Eventually, she met a therapist that helped her through her grief. Finding healing in therapy, she decided to completely change her career path and dedicated her life to helping grieving children.

DANCING THROUGH LIFE
From the moment Victoria could walk, all she wanted to do was express herself through movement. She spent her adolescence dancing at several studios and competed throughout the country, eventually earning a spot on the Florida Atlantic University Fly Girls dance team.
Victoria taught us that
grief is a journey

Victoria Strauss Foundation Dance Scholarship
Victoria was 23 when her life was tragically lost in an accident on January 18th, 2021. She was a talented dancer and became passionate about helping others heal after losing a loved one when she lost her father at a young age.
Our foundation provides scholarships to young dancers so that we can continue to honor Victoria’s life in a meaningful way.
If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please reach out to us. We will choose the scholarship recipients and give the gifts at our annual Gingerbread Party in December.
